The 2017 Ford Super Duty is bringing with it many changes. To start with, it will finally be shedding its heavy steel body for a lightweight aluminum one, like the F-150 did a few years ago.

This light-weighting will not only be used to improve fuel economy and power-to-weight ratio. Some of the weight lost by switching to aluminum will be re-invested into heavier-duty brakes, axles, suspension, and a fully-boxed frame.
