"Most intriguingly, Ford teases the possibility of using this new technology to help improve transportation in cities that lack mass transit or suffer from chronic congestion and gridlock — which sounds strange coming from a company that's ostensible goal is to sell as many cars as possible."
So reads a recent article published by The Verge, which looks at the new shuttle system that Ford is testing at their headquarters in Dearborn, MI. In spite of the fact that expansion of the program could lead to lower car sales, the manufacturer cares about the good it could do on a national and even global level.
